Loan Officer
Is responsible for developing and servicing new or re-financed mortgage loans. The officer facilitates lending by seeking potential clients and assisting them in applying for loans. The officer is required to gather information about clients to ensure that an informed decision is made regarding the quality of the loan and the probability of repayment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The right candidate must be a professional, detail oriented and career minded individual. A stable work history is desirable. Must be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of mortgage industry specific language, phrases and terms. Excellent verbal communication is a must. The ability to present a positive image for the company; strong fundamental understanding of mortgage banking, financial planning and its components; ability to work in a team environment; proficiency with PC based special applications; attitude to assist in other duties when needed; ability to adjust to market conditions; ability to relate to and work well with others. High School Diploma; Computer literate, good math aptitude, some sales experience, good communication, people skills, and problem solving. Previous experience as a loan officer, bank teller, accounting and service representative is a plus, but not required. 2-3 years of experience in mortgage banking, FHA, conventional, VA or related fields.
